This Week in Water Polo:
Congratulations to our Varsity and JV Teams. BOTH TEAMS came in FIRST PLACE at the Dixon High School Invitational Girls Water Polo Tournament.

OUTSTANDING!!!

It can’t get any more funner than that. (Yes I did mean to say funner.)

VARSITY
This has been a busy week, learning a new offensive scheme and implementing it into our games. Coach Jackson and I are very pleased to see the teams effort level increasing as we approach the play-offs.

I would like to congratulate a few players with their individual accomplishments:

Summer Jackson and Nikole Runyon each have had a tremendous week. Both finished the week with 11 goals apiece, both had numerous assists and both have enough steals to get charged with grand theft.

Maurisa Major stepped up and filled a vital role as our back-up goalie. In the previous 4 games Maurisa made 18 saves and only allowed 7 passed goals, OUTSTANDING.

JUNIOR VARSITY
This week has also been a busy week for JV. Though they had a couple of days off, they still were expected to learn a new offense and work hard to implement the offense into this last weekends games. 3 wins in a row is a season record for our young squad and is a testament to their efforts. Coach Jackson and I are very pleased to see the progress these tremendous athletes have made.

I would like to recognize a few athletes for their individual efforts:

Ainsley Jacobsen had a spectacular day at the Dixon Tournament, scoring 11 goals in 3 games. Also, Hana Dement, Katie Jackson, and Kirsten Depauw had a fabulous series of games on offense and defense. Each scored numerous times and they each stopped their opponents on the defensive side of the pool. Maddy Rehorn also had a great day, making 13 saves and only allowing 9 goals. Congratulations ladies on all of your successes.

Cookie Fiesta!!! Players are encouraged to bring their favorite cookies (one dozen) to share with teammates at the end of practice.
Posters: During the Cookie Fiesta players will be given time to make posters for the Senior Appreciation game on Wednesday. Girls are encouraged to bring craft supplies for the posters, coach will supply poster board and markers.

(We will have a short meeting to prepare you for the ceremony.)
All Varsity players will be introduced. Seniors will be introduced, along with their parents, and be presented with a Senior Gift.
